Pastor Pete Beck III and Martha
Pastor Pete Beck III was the founding pastor of Liberty Church of Burlington (now Life Community Network), which launched in 1989 as a plant out of Maranatha Church (now Living Way Church) in Greensboro. He now serves as the lead pastor or network director of LifeNet. He is married to Martha Bilisoly, his high school sweetheart and the person who led him to faith in Christ in 1971. Pete served under his Dad as an elder at Maranatha Church for several years before becoming an associate pastor and principal of Maranatha Christian Academy. Pastor Pete and Martha have been living in the Burlington area since 1990. They have four children and eight grandchildren. Pete is a pastor, teacher, counselor, and author and has ministered overseas in several nations. He enjoys his family, learning, genealogy, and golf.
Pastor Thom Cox and Sheri
Thom and Sheri Cox joined Liberty Church, now LifeNet, in 1990, and have faithfully served since then in a variety of capacities. He is one of our elders and community pastors. He and Sheri have three married children, one granddaughter and two grandsons. Thom is an excellent teacher, counselor, and disciple maker, as well as a great friend. He oversees LifeNet’s finances as the treasurer, and he and Sheri head up one of our LifeNet communities and our ministry to the residents at Alamance House, an assisted living facility here in Burlington. Sheri is a counselor, teacher, and a discipler of women, who leads the women’s weekly Coffee and Conversation Bible Study in her home.
Pastor Len Hedgecock and Sheila
Len is one of our elders and is a community pastor. He has served in a variety of capacities in the Body of Christ over the years. He is an ordained minister who has a passion for small group ministry, discipleship, and teaching God’s Word. Sheila was born and raised in Argentina and uses her skills in Spanish in the local school system to teach English as a second language. She is also involved with Steel Magnolias, a support group for women who suffer from problems with addiction, domestic violence, prostitution and other challenges.They have three grown children and two playful, fearless Maltese dogs.
Apostle Pete Beck, Jr. and Jane
Papa Pete, as he is affectionately called, is now in his eighties and still serving the Lord with all his might. Life Community Network is his home church from which he pastors pastors and provides apostolic oversight to churches here and abroad. We are blessed to have him and Jane with us on a regular basis and value their ministry, wisdom, and love.
